MAS has actively promoted civic engagement and advocated for Muslim rights and social justice, focusing on workplace, school, and public sphere discrimination. The organization encourages young Muslim Americans to participate in community service and leadership training through its youth programs. In its 30-year history, MAS has achieved significant milestones in empowering Muslim Americans, including establishing its Youth program that has provided thousands of young Muslims with leadership and community service opportunities. Furthermore, the organization has facilitated interfaith dialogue and collaboration with other faith communities to promote mutual understanding and cooperation.

MAS is dedicated to promoting Islamic values and empowering Muslim Americans to participate actively in society. The organization will maintain its focus on youth development, interfaith dialogue, and civic engagement while also addressing critical challenges facing the Muslim community, such as discrimination, social inequality, and Islamophobia. Moreover, in addition to its existing programs, MAS seeks to extend its reach and influence in the future. This will involve establishing new partnerships and collaborations with other organizations and community groups to create a more cohesive and robust Muslim-American community.

MAS’s 30th-Anniversary Gala: Celebrating Achievements and Renewing Commitment to Muslim American Empowerment and Social Change

The Muslim American Society’s 30th-anniversary gala demonstrated the strength and resilience of the Muslim American community and the indispensable role that organizations like MAS play in supporting and empowering them. Through its dedication to promoting the values of Islam and empowering Muslim Americans, MAS has positively influenced the lives of countless individuals in the past thirty years, and it will continue to do so in the years ahead. The event brought together community leaders, activists, and members to celebrate the organization’s accomplishments and reflect on the progress and obstacles confronting Muslim Americans, reaffirming their commitment to advancing justice, equality, and societal change. 

Keynote speakers, including Yasir Qadhi, Dalia Mogahed, Richard MAC McKinney, BSW, and Dr. Ayman Hammous, offered inspiring perspectives on the importance of Muslim American leadership, engagement, and advocacy. Raef, the Muslim American singer-songwriter, showcased the vibrancy and creativity of Muslim American culture through a captivating performance. Overall, the event served as a compelling tribute to the significance and impact of MAS in the Muslim-American community and the organization’s determination to advance the values of Islam, empower Muslims, and cultivate understanding and cooperation with other communities.

Over the past 30 years, the Muslim American Society (MAS) has achieved significant milestones in promoting the values of Islam and empowering Muslim Americans to be active and engaged members of society.
