Hameem was born in Bronx, NY and moved to Dallas, Texas in 2001. He holds a B.A. in Religious Studies and English from SMU as well as a B.L.A in Islamic Law and Theology from Zaytuna College. He has traveled between Berkeley, Austin, and NYC in the the pursuit of knowledge. Most recently he completed an M.A. in Islamic Studies at Columbia University. He has multiple years of experience teaching high-school Islamic Studies. He currently lives in Dallas where he moonlights as a baker and reader of ideas.
