Dr. Nameera Akhtar is a professor of developmental psychology at the University of California, Santa Cruz. She received her PhD in experimental psychology from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada and then completed a postdoctoral fellowship (funded by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada) at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.
