SERIES FINALE: It’s Not the End | The Other Side: Barzakh and Beyond Ep. 30

Patience and gratitude are the keys to contentment, in this life and the next. For every hardship, patience brings peace and grows gardens of reward.

When all else fades, only hope in Allah remains.

At the moment of death, no deed will matter more than trusting in His mercy. Even the most righteous entered the Barzakh with sins—yet it was their good opinion of Allah that erased them. In that unseen world, His mercy conceals shortcomings, and His forgiveness grants peace.

The gates of redemption never close to those who sincerely seek Him. So as you journey through this life, carry this truth with you: hope in Allah is not just a feeling—it is the greatest act of worship.

NOTE: All depictions of Barzakh are purely conceptual and only vocals were used in the making of the soundtrack.

  1. Abu Ya‘qub al-Qari said: “I saw in my dream a tall, dark-skinned man whom people were following. I asked, ‘Who is he?’ They said, ‘He is Uways al-Qarni.’ So I followed him and said, ‘Advise me, may Allah have mercy on you.’ He frowned at me, so I said, ‘I am sincerely seeking guidance so please guide me, may Allah guide you.’ He then turned to me and said: ‘Seek Allah’s mercy when you love Him, and beware of His punishment when you disobey Him. But never lose hope in Him in between these two states.’ Then he turned away and left me.” [Ibn Abi ad-Dunya, Al-Manamat]

  5. Umar ibn Salih al-Sa‘di said: “I saw Abd al-Aziz ibn Sulayman, the devout worshiper, in my dream. He was dressed in green garments, and on his head was a crown of pearls. I asked him, ‘O Abu Muhammad, how were things after you passed away? How did you find the taste of death? And what have you seen on the other side?’ He replied, ‘As for death, do not ask about its intense distress and sorrow. But Allah’s mercy covered our every flaw, and we were received with nothing but His grace.’” [Ibn Abi ad-Dunya, Al-Manamat]
