Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz (ra) lived an extraordinary life pursuing Allah’s pleasure, and his death was even more extraordinary. Included amongst the rightly guided khulafa’, he so sincerely feared Allah and hoped for His mercy that even after he passed, a message clearly not written by human hands was miraculously left in his grave. His awe-inspiring story serves as a reminder to us all to live in such a way that even we are received by the most radiant of angels in our final moments.
