The Prophet ﷺ once famously told Umar ibn al-Khattab (ra): “Shaytan does not see you take a path, O Umar, except that he takes a path other than yours.” But just as the devils would run from him, the angels had a special connection with him; and he was amongst those so divinely inspired, it was as if the angels were speaking on his tongue.
