“Your poetry hurts them more than arrows.” These were the words of Rasulullah ﷺ to Hassan ibn Thabit (ra), the Companion who had a gift for satire and wordplay. He used his talents to craft poetry in defense of the Prophet ﷺ, and Jibreel (as) himself stood by him in support when he recited.
